I.V. Pasi Law is a legal practice with offices in Harare, Zimbabwe and Oakville, Ontario, Canada. This notice explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, and how it is handled. Our website address is ivpasilaw.ca.

Information you give us

The only form on this website is the consultation booking form. When you use it, we collect:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address
• The office you selected (Harare or Ontario) and whether you want a virtual or in-person meeting
• The date and time slot you selected
• The practice area your matter relates to
• Any description of your matter you choose to provide

You do not have to provide a description of your matter in order to book. Please do not send confidential or sensitive details through the booking form – we will take full instructions once your consultation begins.

How we use it

We use this information solely to arrange and prepare for your consultation. Booking details are stored on this website and are also emailed to our office at info@ivpasilaw.ca. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site secure and working properly. This website does not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We load fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when a page loads.

How long we keep it

Booking records are retained for as long as necessary to manage the enquiry and to meet our professional and regulatory record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted. Where a matter proceeds, information is retained under our client file retention policy rather than this notice.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to or restrict how we use it. We handle personal information in line with the Zimbabwe Data Protection Act [Chapter 11:12] and, in respect of our Ontario practice, Canadian federal and provincial privacy legislation.

Legal professional privilege

Nothing in this notice affects legal professional privilege or our duty of confidentiality to clients. Where information is privileged or confidential, those protections take precedence.
